Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (Terms) set out the terms and conditions of the contract through which the The Circle Society (TCS/us/we) will deliver services to you (you) as a member. In order to become a member of TCS you must agree to these Terms and in making an application for membership you provide us with the appropriate consent to handle your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
The TCS and Professional Conduct
In becoming a member of TCS, you are agreeing to uphold the values and commitments of TCS both personally and in your professional conduct. Failure to adhere to a professional conduct may result in withdrawal of your TCS membership.
A member who becomes aware of any breach of the TCS Charter and Professional Conduct by another member is under an obligation to notify TCS as soon as possible.
Membership contract
When you click or email to submit your membership application online, you are subscribing to TCS’s terms.
Once your application has been received we will review your application in accordance with our eligibility guidelines. Thereafter we will decide whether your application has been approved for membership, or if it has been declined.
Declined applicants may re-apply should their situation or circumstances change.
Approved applicants will receive an email confirmation once their membership registration has come through.
You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person.
If you wish to cancel your membership, you may do so whenever by sending us your request by email to hello@thecirclesociety.net.
Right to refuse, or remove from TCS membership
We reserve the right to refuse or remove from TCS membership any individual if we have sufficient evidence that such individual is not upholding TCS’s values.
Termination of memberships
If your actions are deemed unethical in any form, we reserve the right to terminate your TCS membership providing you notice in writing.
Data protection and use of personal data
The personal data you supply to us will be used to:
- process your membership application;
- fulfil your membership benefits;
- for marketing, statistical and analytical purposes on behalf of TCS
You will receive communications from us as part of your membership benefits, mostly by email. Other than as set out above, we shall not sell or disclose your personal data to third parties without obtaining your prior consent unless this is necessary for the purposes set out in these Terms or unless we are required to do so by law.
Events
Each of our events may have specific applicable terms and conditions, and if so, you need to check that you can comply with such terms and conditions before booking a place at such events.
